1) Postgres version?

2) PostGIS version?

3) Text of query used?

4) Table definition?

5) Where is being stored?

6) If failure what is error message?

The image shows that you can check(select from) the table. What you are 
seeing is the image data stored in a binary format. You will not see the 
actual image. To get that see this section of PostGIS docs:
