The current opportunity I’m working on is a Postgres DBA position for a client who specialises in developing next-generation solutions for network monitoring, analysis and control that enable the assured delivery of new applications and services over the Internet.

The Role- Postgres DBA

Design, develop, test and maintain database schema. Perform database performance tuning tasks, identifying issues and solutions while being responsible for developing performance improvement solutions.

Success will demand the ability to work both independently and as part of a senior engineering team in a dynamic and fast paced development environment 

·        Owning and maintaining the schema

·        Working on PostgreSQL internals to add features and performance enhancements

·        Maintaining the installation and upgrade system for PostgreSQL and DB schema on Linux

·        Tuning performance for specific platforms and applications

·        Troubleshooting and resolution of application and customer issues

Remuneration- Negotiable depending on Experience
