PostgreSQL version: 8.1
Operating system: Kubuntu 6.10
Description: CREATE FUNCTION INSTR() in docs
Details:

Hello!

There are codes to create the funtion instr():
http://www.postgresql.org/files/documentation/books/pghandbuch/html/plpgsql-
porting.html#PLPGSQL-PORTING-APPENDIX

The second one begins so:
CREATE FUNCTION instr(varchar, varchar, varchar) RETURNS integer AS '

but, it have to be:
CREATE FUNCTION instr(varchar, varchar, integer) RETURNS integer AS '

Else you get this error when using instr('abc', 'b'):
Function doen't exists: instr(character varying, character varying,
integer)

Best regards from Germany
Michael
