Please help me wat to do to connect to the database - Mailing list pgsql-bugs
HI iam unable to connect to my postgres server im getting below error
psql -U postgres
psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
and
/etc/init.d/postgresql start
Starting PostgreSQL ... from

pg_ctl: another postmaster may be running; trying to start postmaster anyway

Examine the log output.
