OVERVIEW/RESPONSIBILITIES:

This individual will join a team responsible for the research, architecture, design, and installation of an enterprise high availability PostgreSQL database cluster solution.

·         Provide subject matter expertise on PostgreSQL

·         Architect/design high availability PostgreSQL database clusters

·         Install, configure, and tune PostgreSQL database clusters on Linux distributions (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu

·         PL/SQL installation and configuration

·         Scripting (Perl, Shell, Python)

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS NEEDED:

·         7+ years of PostgreSQL database architecture and administration experience

·         Experience installing, configuring, tuning high availability database clusters (terabyte sized)

·         Database replication and partitioning experience

·         Scripting experience (Perl, Shell, Python)

·         Extensive PL/SQL experience

·         Extensive knowledge of OLTP (Online Transaction Processing)

·         Experience with Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu) configurations

·         Experience with Virtualization technologies (VMware, Vblock, etc) is preferred

·         Superior customer service and communication skills, experience providing consulting services to enterprise organizations

Top 3 Skills (stack ranked) : 1. 7+ Years of PostgreSQL database architecture AND Administration experience 2. Experience designing, installing, configuring, tuning high availability database clusters (terabyte sized) 3. Database replication AND partitioning experience .
