data tye "name" only as array

Hi,   
I have a little problem with Data type "name", because it is not
selectable in the dialog "New Column". The only way to define a column
with data type name is array version of it. I mentioned it, because
this could be a bug.   

I use Version 1.1.0 Devel (Aug 11 2004) and earlier versions with the
same problem.

Yes, it is a little Problem but it makes me a lot of trouble. Now I use 
version [Aug 18 2004] and the data type "name" is also not in list. My 
question is would you accept this as an bug or is it my mistake?
