Thread: Portability of pgsql database files.
I have a system that is dual bootable for both i686 and x86_64. Would there be any issues using the PostgreSQL database files generated for i686 on x86_64, or vice versa? Thanks! dave <><

You'd probably have problems with the different data alignment rules for the two architectures (I'm supposing MAXALIGN is different, though perhaps it is not?). regards, tom lane
