I reinstalled CentOS yesterday and during installation I checked to include PostgreSQL 8.1.11. Now it seems to work properly. Daneel

Now it seems to work properly. You should really explore running 8.3.3. It's much faster than 8.1 and has a few features that are really nice to have.
