Thread: PostgreSQL v7.1BETA4 Bundled and Available ...

Good Morning ...

The PostgreSQL Developers are pleased to announced Beta4 of v7.1.

In order to reduce the size of the email sent to everyone, we have
included a Changelog file detailing all changes, that is viewable in the
ChangeLogs subdirectory.  This file is available outside of the
distribution at:

ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/ChangeLogs/ChangeLog-7.1beta3-to-7.1beta4

Altho we anticipate at least one more beta release before full release, we
would like to encourage as many people as possible to download and test
out this version on their various platforms.  All problems should be
report to pgsql-bugs@postgresql.org ...

The tar files can be downloaded from:

    ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/dev/..

All mirror sites should have copies of this within the next 24 hours ...

This file seems to be rather seriously incomplete.  When I pull changes
since 2001-01-11 using cvs2cl, I get about 2450 lines of stuff in 245
separate commit messages, not the 24 commits shown here.

No, the other 220 commits weren't all Bruce updating the TODO ;-)

okay, then I'm doing it wrong ... I'm using -l "-r<tag>" ... will revert
to using dates next time instead :(
