So we maintain all those and similar urls indefinately? Seems like a major headache in the long term. Regardless, the answer is still not duplicating the content - we should redirect the urls to the new location if they must be maintained. /D

Well, it is the price we pay for giving out the same url for many years and then changing it suddenly. :) > Regardless, the answer is still not duplicating the content - we should > redirect the urls to the new location if they must be maintained. I thought of just changing the majordomo, but did a google search and found that there are still over 26,000 references to this page out on the web, so decided that a quick non-404 solution was better than none. 'Twould be best as a rewrite at the Apache level, as well as a majordomo update. Which reminds me, does anyone monitor the error logs to catch this and other 404 errors? Magnus caught this one (thanks!), but I am pretty sure it was from clicking on it, and I doubt he was the first one to encounter it. Ideally, we should have noticed within an hour of the first occurance in the logs. - -- Greg Sabino Mullane greg@turnstep.com PGP Key: 0x14964AC8 200501072352 http://biglumber.com/x/web?pk=2529DF6AB8F79407E94445B4BC9B906714964AC8 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQFB32g+vJuQZxSWSsgRArXFAKDEygX1c15NkA6nhyhsT074PDXEsQCfQL1Z ckO6O4evb+XBizya2pGttQc= =ZjaB -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
